What HUAWEI Mate30 Series Teasers Mean

Huawei is announcing the HUAWEI Mate30 Series to the world on 19th September 2019 in Munich, Germany. I am sure many are curious about what OS it will be running.

Regardless of the OS, over the past few years, I have seen Huawei rising against the competitors with its innovation. Let us look at what Huawei might be innovating this time for the HUAWEI Mate 30 Series based on their teasers.

This first and longest teaser was uploaded to YouTube on the 9th of September. It is aptly called “Rethink Possibilities” and has a series of taglines that, based on past experiences, mean that the new HUAWEI Mate30 Series will be based on them.

The next teaser is “Rethink Connectivity” which has the taglines, “Go Fast” and “Go Large”. This is quite easy to guess. Based on the recent announcement in IFA 2019, Huawei debuted the Huawei Kirin 990 5G chipset. So, my guess is that the new HUAWEI Mate30 Series runs on Kirin 990 chipset.

Moving on, the next teaser is “Rethink Darkness” which has the tagline “Look Beyond the Light”. It has got to do with the cameras. I am thinking better cameras and larger aperture (means better low light capability).

The next teaser is “Rethink Speed” with the tagline “See Time Differently”. Looking at the teaser, it has got to do with the slo-mo speed. Currently, on P30 Pro, it can record up to 960fps (32x) in slow motion mode. I wonder if it can go even slower.

The final teaser (as of today) is “Rethink Charging” with the tagline “Power through Speed”. The current charging speed for P30 Pro is 40W and some speculate that the HUAWEI Mate30 Pro might get the 55W charging which was shown on the HUAWEI Mate X, the foldable phone. Or has Huawei managed to improve the wireless charging to the next level? Current, the fastest wireless charging on P30 Pro is 15W.

What about the physical shape? Recently, there are a number of leaks or renders on the physical shape. However, nothing is official and what I will be showing now is based on rumors, renders and/or leaked pics which no one is able to verify their authenticity.

Here is another picture of the supposed Mate30 in the wild and packaging of the Mate30. the image shows a screen that blends to the edge. I wonder how anyone is going to grab the phone properly without activating the screen.

The wait is almost over and I am looking forward to seeing the real HUAWEI Mate30 Series.
