Google Nest Hub Available in Singapore Now

Google introduces the latest product in Singapore – The Google Nest Hub. It is something that I have been looking forward to for some time. Finally, today is the launch of the product.

Basically, Google Nest Hub is Google Home or Google Mini with a screen. And because it has a screen, it can do things that Google Home or Mini cannot.

As you may or may not know, Google acquired Nest Labs and right now, all Nest products will be supported by Google Assistant. The Google Nest Hub is the product from Google with the name Nest in it. Previously, it was known as the Google Home Hub.

There are many smart devices that can support Google Nest Hub. Check out the image below – 200 million devices and from 3,500 brands.

The Google Nest Hub is available now at S$189.

And if you are purchasing the Google Nest Hub from Challenger, COURTS, and M1, you will also get a free Google Assistant compatible Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080P by Xiaomi. The promotion will be also coming to the Google Store in July.

Now, you may wonder what the Google Nest Hub can do. Google Singapore has set up 3 zones for us to understand more about how Google Nest Hub can be part of our daily life.

Google Nest Hub now available for purchase in Singapore

Google Nest Hub brings visual support to the Google Home to offer more help to Singaporeans around the house

Singapore, 25 June 2019 –– Today, Google welcomes the Google Nest Hub to Singapore, its smart speaker with a screen in that gives you help at a glance. With the Google Assistant built-in, you can use your voice to get the best of Google—Search, YouTube, Google Photos, Calendar, Maps and more—right on Nest Hub’s display. Mickey Kim, Google’s Director for APAC Hardware Business said, “Since its launch last year, Google Home has been a welcome addition in the homes of busy families who turn to it to get daily help, answers, or enjoy entertainment. We are building on Google Assistant to make it more useful to Singaporeans, and we are thrilled to introduce a new member to the Nest family that helps us take this further. Through a smart display, Google Nest Hub offers an additional layer of interactivity and more detailed help to elevate the smart home experience and bring families and friends closer together.”

Thoughtfully designed for any room

The first thing you’ll notice about Google Nest Hub is its beautiful design, with a display that fits right into your home. The seven-inch screen serves as a floating display, and strikes the right balance between being small enough to fit on any surface, yet big enough to enjoy your photos from across the room. With its soft rounded corners, Google Nest Hub also fits naturally on any surface.

There is no camera on Google Nest Hub, so you feel comfortable placing it in the private spaces of your home, like the bedroom. On the top of the device is the Ambient EQ light sensor that allows the screen to automatically adjust to match the lighting in the room. This ensures that Google Nest Hub will blend in seamlessly with the room without the distracting glowing screen. When it’s time for bed, Hub knows to dim the screen for a good night’s sleep.

Jumpstart your morning routine

With Routines , Google Nest Hub provides you and your family useful info about the day ahead, and with Voice Match , up to six people in the home can get their own personalized Routine.

Just say “Hey Google, good morning” for a personalized, visual overview of your activities from Google Calendar, your commute from Google Maps, your reminders, and the latest news. Apart from listening to audio news from local sources such as CNA, you can now also watch several video news from The Straits Times such as The Big Story series, which is a weekday talk show by journalists and senior editors; financial news by The Business Times; lifestyle news and interviews from around the region by Coconuts TV; and weekly news recaps about esports by ONE Esports .

Simplify your connected home

With Google Nest Hub, everyone in the family can see and control your devices from a single dashboard without switching between apps. Just swipe down to reveal your home view to dim your Philips Hue lights, adjust the temperature on your air conditioner, turn up the volume on the TV, broadcast music in the house with multiple Home devices, and even monitor smart cameras.

Relive the moment with Google Photos

Google Nest Hub is also a photo frame , but not your average one: it’s easy to set up, automatically refreshes the photos that are displayed and features your best shots. With live albums, a new feature from Google Photos, you can relive recent memories with family and friends even while Google Nest
Hub is not in use.

You can say goodbye to endless scrolling on your phone to find photos you’re looking for. Google Nest Hub makes it easy: “Hey Google, show my pictures from Korea,” and just like that, you’re taken back to your vacation.

Get hands-free help in the kitchen

Indulging Singaporeans love affair with food, the Google Nest Hub helps both seasoned home cooks and new learners prepare recipes like a top chef. Simply use your voice to browse millions of recipes and start cooking, all hands-free. We teamed up with food channels such as Tasty, Food Network and Genius Kitchen to bring their fun, family-friendly recipe to Google Nest Hub. So the next time you are stuck on what to prepare for dinner, why not ask “Hey Google, show me how to cook Hainanese Chicken Rice”.

Google Nest Hub helps you turn the music up, then wind down

With the Nest Hub, you can have your Friday night dance-off with songs from Spotify, follow your local DJs with TuneIn Radio, and play your favourite music videos on YouTube with the Nest Hub’s full-range speaker that ensures crisp, clear sound every time.

When you’re ready for bed, just say, “Hey Google, good night” to set an alarm, turn off compatible lights and TVs, lock the front door (as long as you have a supported lock) and fall asleep to soothing music. For busy working parents, every day is hectic—so these features are truly game-changing when you have your hands full or strapped for time.

Customers purchasing a Google Nest Hub from Challenger, COURTS, and M1 will also get a free Google Assistant compatible Mi Home Security Camera 360° 1080P by Xiaomi. The promotion will be also coming to the Google Store in July.
