I had a shock recently realizing that I have been sitting on my super dirty sofa and walking on my extremely dirty carpet.
Don’t get me wrong. They are still presentable and you might not suspect that they are so dirty until you see the video later (scroll down).
2 years ago, I tried to engage a company to help to clean the sofa and carpet. I thought they did an ok job with the sofa but they messed up the house while cleaning the carpet.
Long story short. I learned my lesson and realized that even though cleaning companies have similar equipment, the results are not the same.
This time, after going through some research (aka looking at comments on Facebook and Instagram), I decided to engage this company.

BTW, they even throw in complimentary steaming service (sanitization) for the sofa pillows and soft toys (if you have them).
The job takes about 2 to 3 hours and trust me, it is a back-breaking job. To do proper cleaning, you have to use a lot of strength to “scrub” the sofa.
After cleaning, allow the sofa to dry completely. It takes a few hours to dry and based on this experience, please flip them once in a while so that they are properly dried.
Some things I learned from them: –
- Equipment is important
- The cleaning solution is VERY important to draw the dirt out.
- Dedication to the job (good that if you have OCD – just joking).
