How Fast is Huawei 40W SuperCharger (video)

Huawei has launched the HUAWEI Mate20 Pro and along with it, it has also announced the new generation of SuperCharger that can generate 40W (10V, 4A) of power to charge up the phone to 70% in 30 minutes.

In order to find out how good the 40W SuperCharger is, I compared it with its nearest rival, the HUAWEI P20 Pro.

The test sequel is very simple. Both the Mate20 Pro and the P20 Pro are drained to 50% battery level. It took a while to drain both phones to 50% as they have a large battery capacity (4,200 mAh for Mate20 pro and 4,000 mAh for P20 Pro).

Both are charged using their original SuperChargers and cables.

22.5W SuperCharger

In 10 minutes after I started the test, I already know the winner. The Mate20 Pro has already charged up to 70% while the P20 Pro is at 57%.

I stopped the test just before 24 minutes as the Mate20 Pro is already at 91%. The P20 Pro is just at 68%.

This simple test shows how fast the new 40W SuperCharger is. Check out the whole test process in this video.
