Huawei to Unveil Huawei Mate 20 Series with Kirin 980 on 16th October

Huawei recently unveiled the Huawei Kirin 980, the next gen chipset to power the future Huawei flagship phones. Now, the date is set. On 16th October in London, Huawei will be showcasing the new Huawei Mate 20 Series to the World.

Based on the poster, it seems to focus on AI (Artificial Intelligence). Not sure what other things to expect. In recent years, Huawei’s products have been really innovative. Truthfully speaking, I look forward more to the unveiling of the Mate 20 Series than iPhone XS series.

Of course, many will still feel sour, short-changed by Huawei for tweaking the software to recognize the 3DMark benchmark test and hence increasing its performance to improve the score (which was found out recently).

They have since made an official statement to address it. You can read all about it here.

Here is an excerpt from the statement:

Huawei respects consumers’ right to choose what to do with their devices. Therefore, Huawei will provide users with open access to “Performance Mode” in EMUI 9.0, so that the user can choose when to use the maximum power of their device.

Not sure if Huawei fans can accept the way Huawei handles the situation or not. That, however, did not stop Huawei from scooping top awards at IFA 2018. Many of them talk about the new Kirin 980 chipset.

Really looking forward to seeing what Huawei has up its sleeves on the new Mate 20 Series. Check out the Press Release below for more information on the awards.
