Japan Park Singapore (JPSG) Media Preview (video)

The Japan Park Singapore Event is finally here. Thanks for the invite, I am able to see them before the opening today and tomorrow (4th and 5th August ONLY). Love the variety of food and performance for the young and old.

The event is held at Suntec Singapore at Level 4. JPSG brings an assembly of the best offerings from Japan’s 47 Prefectures curated into 6 Zones for convenient navigation – WA-Shiok Gourmet Festa, Discover Japan, Technology & Lifestyle, Omakase Stage, Kids Sports and CharaExpo Mini. You can get the tickets when you reach.

You will be provided a wristband when you enter. This wristband is your wallet where you can top up money with it. Welcome to the cashless event (although you still pay for the food).

And here is the place to top up (outside the hall).

FOOD

I guess as Singaporeans, our life revolves around food. So, I believe the main attraction of the event is food. Check out the highlights of the event.

Video

Personally, I did not have the stomach or time to try out all the food. I targeted the easiest one which is the sausage.

And also the ramen from Menya Sakura.

Finally, I had the chance to try the beef don from Ginza Lion. They are yummy but I suggest you eat it hot.

I believe on actual event day, it will be very crowded. You might need to wait for a while for your food. Be patient.

PERFORMANCE

Every day, there will be performances. Do check out the map and event calendar for more information.

Here are the performers. Some of them are first-timer in Singapore. Please welcome them and enjoy their shows.

Sunplaza Nakano-kun and Papala Kawai

PERFORMANCE

Thanks to JPSG, the media is able to get a short preview of their performance (check them out in the video above).

He is from the Traditional Japanese Dance. Very slow in movement but every movement requires a lot of muscle power.

FEEDBACK

On a side note, I think for the next Japan Park event, you can remove these mannequins. I don’t think they do justice to the Ninja uniform or to promote the event.

I think due to the thick cables needed for the hardware for cooking those delicious meals, the cable tracks are very protruding (even though there is already an incline on them). Maybe the organiser can make the incline a little gentle.

Thank you for the invite. Really enjoy the Media Preview. Hope to see JPSG again next year.
