Today, Google introduces many new products and only one (Google Pixel 2 XL) made it to the Singapore Market. In another news, we got our own Singapore Google Store but none of the products are sold in that store.
These are the products introduced by Google during the ‘Live’ Hardware Event.
Google Home Mini
The Google Home Mini is retailing at USD49 and you can pre-order now (not for Singapore market) and it will be in stores from 19th October. During the event, it was mentioned that the Home Mini will be provided free with every Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL smartphone purchase.
Google Home Max
This is for those who are serious about music, you can check out Google Home Max. It is the big brother of the Google Home. It has enough punch for you to enjoy your music and with Google Assistant built-in.
It will be available from December at USD399.
Google Pixelbook and Google Pixelbook Pen
The Google Pixelbook is a 12.3-inch laptop with Chrome OS that can be used in 4 modes (Use it as a laptop, or watch your favorite shows. Fold it into a tablet, or stand it up). It has a max storage of 512GB and comes with different configurations (e.g. Core i5, i7 and etc) and with a starting price of USD999.
Accompanying the laptop is the Google Pixelbook Pen with Wacom technology. It will be retailed at USD99.
Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL
This is the latest Pixel phone from Google. Only Google Pixel 2 XL will be coming to Singapore later this year.
Here are some features of the Pixel 2 phones. I love the Google Lens, the AR Stickers and the camera which has a DxOMark of 98.
The Google Pixel 2 is retailing starting from USD649.
And the Google Pixel 2 XL is retailing from USD849.
As usual, there are many accessories manufacturers supporting the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
Google Pixel Buds
This product is one of the surprises today. The other surprise is that Google has ditched the 3.5mm headphones jack.
The Google Pixel Buds will retail at USD159 and comes with a rechargeable casing.
What is more interesting is that it can help to translate in 40 languages (almost instantly). BTW, this is the first Wireless earphones from Google.
Google Clips
This is the first edition of Google’s camera. According to Google, it is targeted towards pet lovers and parents.
As the name implies, you can clip (almost) it anywhere and it will automatically capture the moments. Of course, there is a physical shutter button if you want to do it manually.
The beauty about Google Clips is that you can clip or place it anywhere and be part of the pictures/videos.
The Google Clips will be retailed at USD249.
That is it. All these products are NOT available in Singapore except for the Google Pixel 2 XL.
