Just attended the imbX or Infocomm Media Business eXchange Opening Ceremony graced by Minister for Communications and Information, Dr. Yaacob Ibrahim. Expect to see and hear a lot on AI (Artificial Intelligence), Cybersecurity, VR (as in Immersive Media) and of course IOT over these 3 days.
The Opening Ceremony, held at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, started almost on the dot. The welcome speech is by Ms Lindy Wee. One of the highlights is that there will be 36 Pavillions across the three exhibitions (CommunicAsia 2017, BroadcastAsia 2017 and EnterpriseIT 2017) including new Pavillions from the EU Business Avenues in SEA, Taiwan, Russia and two groups from China and Korea.
I am looking forward to exploring these Pavillions.
Surprisingly (at least for me), this year’s opening ceremony is sweet and short. I actually like it. The event runs from 23rd May till 25th May for Trade and Business only. Come on down to talk to businesses or check out the new technologies.
