Xiaomi launches its stunning flagship Mi Note in Singapore for S$569

Singtel is the only telco to offer Mi Note exclusively in Singapore, Uber ties up with Xiaomi for a pre-launch flash sale of Mi Note in Singapore and Malaysia

SINGAPORE, 23 July 2015 – Leading smartphone company Xiaomi announced today that it is bringing its stunning flagship device, the 5.7-inch Mi Note (64GB), to Singapore. Priced at S$569, Mi Note is set to redefine the large-screen smartphone market in Singapore.

Xiaomi also revealed today that Singtel will be the only telco to offer Mi Note exclusively in Singapore. Mi Note will go on sale on 28 July at 12pm on Mi.com, and on the same day, Mi Note will also be available at attractive prices to Singtel postpaid customers. For example, it will be available at $0 on Singtel’s Combo 3 plan.

Mi Note truly embodies both style and substance. It is the most beautiful phone Xiaomi has ever designed and boasts a premium feel of glass against skin, curved at the edges for a better grip. At the same time, Mi Note houses some of the most powerful components in an ultra-thin 6.95mm body, made possible by close cooperation with leading world-class suppliers such as Corning, Qualcomm and Sharp.

They enjoy better value purchasing Mi Note on our Combo plans packed with additional data for Singtel Premium WiFi, extra talktime and SMSes.”

Xiaomi also announced today a unique partnership with Uber to provide on-demand delivery of Mi Note through an exclusive pre-launch flash sale in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, with more cities to be announced soon. Uber riders will be able to order limited quantities of Mi Note through the Uber app on 27 July, a full day before it will be available on Mi.com.

Mike Brown, Regional General Manager, Southeast Asia & Australia, New Zealand, Uber, said: “We’re thrilled to bring the amazing Mi Note to consumers across Singapore and Kuala Lumpur through this pioneering partnership with Xiaomi. The power of the on-demand economy is transforming the consumer experience and we are excited to take this to another level in Southeast Asia.”

Crafted from Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Mi Note’s 3D glass back panel has a curved ergonomic shape, while gentle rounded edges are added to the 2.5D front panel, extending the smoothness from back to front.

Despite its ultra-thin 6.95mm frame, Mi Note has been fitted with a 3000mAh Sony/LG 4.4V high density Li-ion battery. To meet an ever-increasing need for power, Mi Note runs on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz processor and 3GB RAM.

Mi Note’s 5.7″ Sharp/JDI full HD display boasts an incredible contrast ratio of 1400:1, producing even richer colors for a spectacular visual experience. Xiaomi’s Sunlight Display technology also ensures a crystal-clear view of the screen under harsh sunlight.

For high-quality pictures, Mi Note is equipped with a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera that comes with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The 4MP front camera on Mi Note with 2-micron large pixels is perfect for selfies, especially with the Beautify mode, which intelligently guesses a person’s age and gender in order to apply 36 smart filters.

Mi Note also comes embedded with an impressive Hi-Fi audio system for minimal-loss, studio-grade sound quality.
