HERE maps is always one of my favorite maps. It is sorely missed since I do not use Nokia smartphones anymore. However, the good news is that HERE Maps (Beta) is now available on Android for the rest of the World. With its offline maps feature, you can download 118 countries worth of maps free. Great if you are traveling on a foreign country without Internet connection.

However, it is still missing Japan. Check out what it can do in this video.

I suggest that if you want to download the maps for offline usage, switch the storage to your external memory cards. The files for some countries are really huge. And for those iOS users, you will need to wait a bit. The official HERE Maps for iOS will be ready in early 2015.

PS: I tried searching for Postal Code (Singapore) in the offline mode. It is not working. Thankfully, postal code search is available online.
