After visiting Comex yesterday (abet a very short trip), I have a few reasons why you should at least pay them a visit. Let me know what you think.
Reason 1 – Comex is back at the revamped, newly renovated Suntec Singapore
What could be better than a newly renovated venue. Feels like new, in my opinion, although the show is still located at Level 4 and 6.
Reason 2 – The three Telcos (SingTel, StarHub, M1) are not there
That can only means no long queues. Without their mega booths, there are no long queues with people who are NOT interested in gadgets/computers but are just there to renew their contracts for better freebies.
Reason 3 – Same show, new concepts
Ok. Not so new concepts but something different from the many other shows throughout the year. There is Tech Fashion Show, Gamers’ hub and booth babes contest. Check out the details here.
Reason 4 – Showgirls
It has been a while since an IT show is “invaded” with showgirls. Comex 2014 is one of them, at least from what I observed. Not that these showgirls are going to change the prices of the products. At least their presence has made me feel that the organizers/companies are not just there to shove their products into your face.
Reason 5 – Good bargains, New products
This is actually THE reason why many people are flocking to the show. There are actually good bargains over there. The feeling of touching the actual products is definitely something irreplaceable. And with so many brands over there, you can compare prices and determine what are the best choices. Here are some of the products over at the show.

As for other devices, please ask the friendly sales people over there.
Reason 6 – Lucky Draw
This year, they introduced something easier for consumers. Game Cards will be provided after you verified your purchases at the redemption booth.
You can then enter the draw later (between 28th August to 1st September 5pm) at the comfort using your own computer/tablets and etc. Or you can choose to queue up over there to enter the draw instantly
2 more days before the show ends. Are you ready to shop? 🙂
