Samsung never fails to dig on their competitors whenever they have the chance. With the viral effect of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Samsung did their own on their flagship model, Samsung GALAXY S5 (which is waterproof). Watch till the end or guess who are the three nominees for this challenge that Samsung proposed.

I think the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is a great way to promote the awareness of this terrible disease and also to collect funds to fight it. However, I do understand that many people did the Ice Bucket Challenge without even wanting to know what ALS is.
Some are saying that these viral videos are a waste of time but I don’t think so. Take for example, I do not know what is ALS before this Ice Bucket thingy. I may have heard before but it never register into my mind. After so many videos of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, I started to become curious about it and try to understand it.
Now, when you see or hear about ice bucket challenge, you will immediately associate it with ALS. I believe ALS has not been taken so seriously before this ice bucket challenge. So, in my opinion, it works.

ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)—also referred to as motor neurone disease (MND), Charcot disease, and, in the United States, Lou Gehrig‘s disease—is a neurodegenerative disease with various causes. It is characterised by muscle spasticity, rapidly progressive weakness due to muscle atrophy, difficulty in speaking (dysarthria), swallowing (dysphagia), and breathing (dyspnea). ALS is the most common of the five motor neuron diseases.
