This is a historical moment. An unmanned drone, X-47B, took off from USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) off the coast of Virginia. We have seen drones for some time already. However, for a drone to take off from an Aircraft Carrier, it has more technical difficulties.
I can foresee future combats to be fought be drones or robots (actually I think this is good – less human casualty). Check out the video.
