Experience Game-Changing Resolution at LG’s Ultra HD Event

Four Times the Resolution, Four Times the Wow

Singapore, 26 March 2013 – The advent of Ultra High Definition Televisions (Ultra HD TVs) has brought an enhanced home viewing experience with greater clarity and detail.

This was showcased at the Ultra HD event which was held today at the LG Live Store at Marina Bay Sands, The Shoppes. LG Ultra HD TV presents a whole new level of picture quality, breaking new ground in the entertainment arena. Through the Cinema 3D Ultra HD Engine in LG 84LM9600, the artistry and cinematic brilliance of game contents are expressed in ultra detail and clarity on the gigantic 84-inch screen, paving the way for a new standard in the gaming industry.

LG Ultra HD TV – Setting A New Definition of Gaming Experience

The LG Ultra HD event was held in collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., a premier developer and publisher of some of the world’s most popular games, including World of Warcraft®, Diablo® III, and StarCraft® II: Heart of the Swarm™.

Tammy Tang (aka “furryfish*”), the current leader and founder of Team Asterisk*, presented attendees with a live demo of Blizzard Entertainment’s latest game, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm. As Tammy played through Heart of the Swarm’s brand-new single-player campaign, she provided attendees with a glimpse of the game’s thrilling real-time strategy gameplay. The crisp and visibly rich graphics displayed by LG World’s first 84-inch Ultra HD TV contributed to a thoroughly immersive gaming experience.

With its 2D to 3D conversion feature, LG Ultra HD TV made the game graphics pop from the screen and when used with 3D Depth Control, Tammy was able to customise the depth of 3D to her liking. Adapted with a Super Resolution algorithm to prevent blurred images from its up-scaling process and detect high frequency data from the original Full HD image, the Cinema 3D Ultra HD Engine in LG 84LM9600 TV allows viewers to enjoy smoother, clearer vibrant images.

A More Defined Future with LG Ultra HD TV

With 8.3 Megapixels packed into this 84-inch television screen, you can be guaranteed that the only resolution you will be receiving will come with ultra clarity, which has FOUR times the resolution of Full HD TVs with a 8.3 million (3840 x 2160) pixel resolution.

Surfing the Internet, listening to online radio and playing games become a breeze with ‘Magic Remote’. Its easy to use ‘Point and Click’ is simple and intuitive, even for a child, complementing the use of the television set.

Just like its grand size and stunning picture detail, the LG 84-inch Ultra HD TV also delivers some of the richest, fullest sound ever to come from a TV. You can experience the brilliant opus of 2.2 Sound System with two 10W speakers and two 15W woofers. Talk about the booming exhilaration of watching movies or playing games from the comfort of your own home.
