eneloop batteries also have a lower self-discharge rate compared to typical rechargeable batteries, retaining 70%3 capacity even after five years of storage, which makes them ready for action anytime. Another useful feature is its stable discharge voltage that allows for longer operation times, as compared to conventional dry cell batteries, for gadgets with high power consumption, such as digital cameras and camera flashes, and in low temperature conditions.
eneloop batteries are also coated with an antibacterial finishing4, which makes it ideal for use in offices, schools and hospitals where one battery is likely to be handled by multiple persons.
Environmentally friendly through and through, eneloop batteries come pre-charged using solar energy at the factory in Japan in accordance with the Green Power Certification System5. This means every eneloop battery is ready for use on purchase, making it a favourite with customers and the environment.
