HTC event is over in less than an hour and instead of some speculation that it will be showcasing Android tablets or smartphones, it actually introduces 2 Windows Phone 8 devices, Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S.
You will need some getting used to in calling them because of their “unique” naming. Nevertheless, you will never mistaken them for other OSes 🙂
Here is an introduction video of HTC Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S.
The flagship model is Windows Phone 8X. HTC is now calling it the hero model. Here are some specs that you might be interested.

What I had mentioned is based purely on the specs. There is no mention of pricing although the availability is mentioned to be in November.
The Windows Phone 8X is definitely the flagship model of HTC. As for the Windows Phone 8S, I think if the pricing is right (means low), it will likely be more appealing to the emerging markets.
Listen to what the designers have to say about the two devices.
