When I read about Singapore Sofshell shock absorbent padding, I immediately think of G-Form. I have been following G-Form for a while and I understand that both have similar properties. For example, the material harden upon impact.

Nevertheless, without much information from Sofshell, I would not want to speculate. On the report (by Penn-Olson), it seems to be going in the same direction as G-Form.

The material can be made into items that can cushion shocks, especially for the elderly folks.  The Sofshell team is one of the teams that walked away with the DEMOguru award during DEMO Asia. What do you think?
