SINGAPORE, 15 December 2010 – Alienware Arena Asia League, an inaugural regional gaming competition has come to a triumphant close, crowning team AEON.GIGABYTE as the first champions. Having competed locally in the qualifiers, teams PtR (Malaysia), Roccat-Trust (Thailand), Alienware Olympus Digi (Indonesia) & AEON.GIGABYTE (Singapore) made their way into the finals to contend for the coveted title. After a gruelling battle between Roccat-Trust and AEON.GIGABYTE in the finals, AEON.GIGABYTE has emerged as the first Alienware Arena Asian Champions.

“We are very thankful that Alienware has given us this opportunity and it feels great to be here competing with gamers from other countries. Having won this has made this a wonderful experience and we hope to be here again next year,” said Wong Jeng Yih, team captain of AEON.GIGABYTE from Singapore.

Team AEON.GIGABYTE have won themselves S$3000 cash prize and boasting rights as the first Alienware Arena Asia League Champions. Team Roccat-Trust, the first runner-up, has also won a cash prize of S$1000.

To introduce gaming to a broader community, Dell has partnered with IAH Games this year to showcase a range of different games to cater to different gaming preferences, as well as to create a carnival-like atmosphere for participants and supporters to revel in.

The Alienware Arena Asia League 2010 is the first on-site tournament that gathers elite DotA gamers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore to compete for the title of Alienware Arena Asian Champions.
