HP Slate Prototype for Business Shown Again – Video Within

If you have not have enough of the leaked video on HP Slate the other day, here is a longer version with unboxing and etc. Mind you, this is a business model and now I am wondering if the consumer model will be a WebOS or not.

The prototype slate appear sluggish and the pinch to zoom seems laggy. I love the multi-touch as shown on the Microsoft Paint Software. That is the price that you paid for running a full computer OS on a tablet.

BTW, here are some specs on the HP Slate. I think I saw HP Slate 500 which is what was leaked out months ago. At that time, we already know that HP Slate for consumers had halted. Now it makes sense. HP has all along been wanting a Windows 7 device for business.

Specs

  • 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540
  • GMA500 and Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video accelerator
  • 8.9-inch WSVGA screen
  • 2GB DDR2 RAM
  • 60GB storage capacity
  • Windows 7 Home Premium
  • 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth
  • SD card reader
  • 2-Cell 30WHr Lithium-ion Polymer battery
  • Front and rear camera

Surprisingly and sadly, I don’t see a SIM card slot.
