One of the TGX09 is the Cosplay Competition. It has two categories. One is the Shana Best Cosplayer contest and the other is the open category where cosplayers have those own free play to dress up in any characters. I will do a post on that later.

For the Shana Cosplayer Competition, all costumes and accessories are provided. There are a total of 9 contestants. The above is contestant 2.

Here are the contestants. I really admire their courage to go up to the stage. First of all, many of them are first timers. Secondly, you will need to act out a scenario from the video clip and the judges will then judge them based on their performance.

Watching the short clip of Shana before the acting.

Gathering of emotion before the act.

Pose for the photographers. All contestants got the chance to pose for the camera.

After the 9 contestants, we were given some special performance with Cosplayers singing those Anime theme songs (in Japanese) and also the Singapore Youth Orchestra providing a stellar performance.

That’s it! BTW, I don’t know who is the winner. If you know, please let me know. Next, I will be posting the Open Category, which in my opinion, will be a galore of great Cosplay..

TGX09 is a three days event. I was there for 2 days and here are my “contribution” for those who couldn’t make it there. The highlight of the event is of course the gamers. However, we must not forget those who make this event more enjoyable. They are the showgirls, the Cosplay Competition (will report separately) and companies that on this event. Anyway, enjoy.

Ok. It is a long wait. Finally, Alienware has landed in Singapore. No joke. It is here and Dell is the company behind it to bring Alienware to Singapore. I had a call just a day before TGX09 to let me know that there is a media event on Alienware during the first day of TGX09. I decided to checked it out. For those who do not know Alienware, it is the company that manufactures one of the most powerful gaming laptop and desktop in the world (or Universe).
