No, I did not get to hands on a JooJoo. Although Fusion Garage is a Singapore company, it chooses to open its market to the US (which is big, of course) and the hands on videos are from Engadget and Gizmodo. Surprisingly, both have mentioned that the JooJoo is a solid device. However, the keyboard is something that is of minimal use and the pricing is something to ponder about.

I have been following closely on this CrunchPad news. One of the reason is because a Singapore company is behind it (Fusion Garage). The story of CrunchPad started with TechCrunch envisioning a tablet device that can surf the net comfortably. Their dream almost came true.. until recently (17th November) that they realize Fusion Garage has a different agenda.

The last I heard about CrunchPad is in July 2009. I blog about it as a Singapore firm is working with TechCrunch on this CrunchPad. It is a 12-inch device without storage, has 3G and Wifi.

When I first saw this similar title from Straits Times, I was thinking? “Isn’t Tablet PC has been around for a long time” However, after reading the story, I realized that this Tablet PC is a little different. It has no keyboard. Just a screen (like a big PDA without buttons) and if have notice, it may resembled the rumored MAC Tablet that is supposed to be available at the end of this year.
