You may know that Google Chrome loads fast. However, Google wanted to prove it to you using physical objects, namely, Potato Cannon, Sound Waves and Lightning, as a scale on how fast their Chrome browser loads.

After a disappointment from Apple’s iPad, lets shift our focus to Google Chrome OS project. I believe many have downloaded or tried Chrome OS by now. According to Google during my last visit at their office (for Chrome OS event), they are working closely with OEM to come up with computers that meet Google’s Chrome requirement. Now, we video and concept pictures of the future Chrome Tablet.

I was invited to Google Chrome OS event. Initially, I thought there would be quite a big crowd but I was surprised that only a handful of us were there (about 10). The event was a very short one and it was held at the 38th floor of Google Office. Here is a nice view from their office.

Since the reveal of Google Phone, Nexus One that HTC built, it should not be a surprise that HTC is working with Google on a Chrome OS Tablet.

After the success of Google Chrome browser, Google is not stopping there. They are now planning on a new OS (called Chrome OS) that will target the netbook (at first). Their plan is to roll out this OS in the 2nd half of 2010 for netbooks. And as it is the same for many of Google projects, it is open source.
Google is quick to point out that this project will be clash with the current Android OS as the targeted user is different. It is still too early to speculate anything yet.
