Samsung Electronics Launches The Frame – Lifestyle TV in Singapore

The Frame brings a touch of sophistication and class to any living space

Singapore – July 28, 2017 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today launched The Frame, a spectacularly designed television with an artful approach to elevate the viewing environment. First teased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 where it won the Best Innovation Award, The Frame was designed to be incorporated into a user’s lifestyle. More importantly, it promises to give living spaces a breath of fresh air, with new design concepts allowing consumers to personalise their own homes. Or simply, it is for anyone who wants to be different with a bold statement piece that’s both functional and beautiful.

“Consumers evaluate how a product adds value to their lifestyle by weighing out the form and function of a product, with aesthetics holding more sway in recent years,” said Steven Koh, Director, Consumer Electronics Business, Samsung Electronics Singapore. “We understand the importance of providing more than just function and with The Frame, we have redefined how a TV can beautify living spaces as a central masterpiece for our consumers.”

Defining Living Space

The Frame is more than just a TV – not only does it deliver the ultimate viewing experience, it has been beautifully and thoughtfully designed to seamlessly blend in with living spaces as a state-of-the-art masterpiece fresh out of an art gallery.

Announced at the global launch in Paris, France earlier this year, The Frame’s line-up is set to include 55-inch and 65-inch models. Conceived through the vision that a TV could be beautiful even when it was powered off, The Frame will complement any living space by becoming a customisable work of art.
One Device, Two Roles

Based on a new innovative technology, The Frame looks like a picture frame hanging on a wall when the TV’s Art Mode feature is on. Instead of fading to black like a conventional TV when it is powered off, the Frame’s 4K UHD picture quality display transforms into a work of art, letting consumers select custom-designed digital art pieces or images from their personal photo libraries.

With a breath-taking collection of more than a hundred1 professionally-curated art pieces that span various genres by some of the world’s most outstanding talents, consumers can personalise their living space or simply update their view from the large pool of illustrations, photographs or paintings. Consumers can also conveniently access other curated works of world renowned artists through the online art store.

The Frame also carries various UX designs that help consumers customise their own photographs2 or artwork. They can choose the background colour and utilise six different layouts to position their images in any way they prefer, presenting consumers with a platform to showcase and house their cherished memories, be they wedding photos or family portraits, in a more customised and stylised fashion.

Utilising a Brightness Sensor, The Frame seamlessly adjusts to ambient lighting and blends into the interior of any home. With a motion sensor that detects human’s movement, The Frame goes into power-saving mode when there is no one in the room and turns back on when someone enters.

Frame by Frame Options

The Frame is designed to be undistinguishable in every way from an actual picture frame, and to blend seamlessly with any interior design themes. Paired with numerous options for art layouts and colours, The Frame was made to truly complement and brighten the consumer’s living space. The Frame offers a variety of accessory3 options including 3 different coloured bezels and an optional Studio Stand.

Its Customisable Frame can easily attach and detach itself from the body, allowing consumers to enhance the ambience and décor of any room with multiple frame options including Walnut, Beige Wood and White.

Clean Cable Solution

Similar to the Samsung QLED TV Series that was launched earlier this year, The Frame also features Samsung’s No Gap Wall-mount and Invisible Connection, which are included in-box, allowing the lifestyle TV to be mounted on the wall just like a picture frame. The Frame also comes with the One Connect Box, which acts as a hub for all connecting wires to ensure that consumers will not need to deal with messy cables, ensuring that The Frame becomes an aesthetically pleasing fit for any living space.

Pricing and Promotions

To give consumers the opportunity to personalise The Frame, Samsung will be running a campaign from 17 July – 3 September to provide a free set of customisable frames with every purchase of The Frame, which will be available in colours to the consumers’ preference. The Frame is now available at all major consumer electronics store
