“May the Fourth Be With You” – This is the quote that I believe all Star Wars fans will know or swear by it. 4th of May is Star Wars Day and for the first time, Singapore is celebrating it in style at Gardens by the Bay.
And we are celebrating Star Wars Day from 4th to 6th May. That is 3 full days of activities. Details can be found here. For the first time, a life-size AT-ST is standing guard in the garden. Here is another picture of it.
And also, for the first time, the usual Gardens by the Bay (GBTB) garden rhapsody is replaced by the Star Wars Edition. Check it out in the video below. If you are watching it right after I posted, you might be one of the first in the world to witness it.
This post will be filled with pictures. So I will let the pictures do the talking. If you want to see the highlights of the Star Wars festival, check out the video below.
Enjoy the rest of the pictures. The force is strong here…
My favorite picture.
Just for your information, the only two official character at the festival is Chewbacca and Kylo Ren. The rest of the characters you see at the show are the fans of Star Wars. Kudos to them for wearing those bulky costumes under the hot Singapore weather.
In my opinion, I suggest starting your tour from the Fan Zone.
The retail section
I love the ambiance in the evening, especially with these lightings.
Mr. S Iswaran, Minister for Trade and Industry (Industry) together with other partners taking a group photo before the start of the Garden Rhapsody – Star Wars Edition.
SaberTrees Installation – lights shooting up into the night sky resembling the light sabers in the Star Wars movies.
Does it look like the light saber in Star Wars?
One final shot.
Thank you for the invite. Enjoyed the evening at GBTB with all the characters from Star Wars.
