One More Day to Claim Your Windows 10 Free Upgrade

The cut-off date is near (29th July) for you to claim the free upgrade to Windows 10. Last year, I posted how you can get your Windows 10 free upgrade and a few months ago, I reminded about the final date that you can get it free. However, based on the statistic, about a third of the PCs in Singapore have not been upgraded to Windows 10 yet.

If you are worried about the learning curve to use Windows 10, it is actually not steep since it is similar to Windows 7.

However, if you are used to the OneDrive folder placement on Windows 8, you are going to miss it because this feature had been removed on Windows 10.

Likewise, if you like the split screen feature on Windows 8, you are going to miss it too.

Nevertheless, I believe the advantages outstrip these few features (although secretly, I wish they could bring them back). One good thing about upgrading to Windows 10 is that the Windows 10 Anniversary update (which will occur on 2nd August) will bring in more features. I am so looking forward to it. Do take a moment to think if you need this Windows 10 free upgrade or not. In my opinion, since it is free and that they will stop Windows 8 support in future, take it.

For me, as long as the OS is stable and supported by most applications, I will use it.
