Versatile and Clear Projections with Canon’s compact portable projectors

The LV-WX320 and LV-X320 deliver high resolution projections of brightness and crisp contrast in wide applications at low running costs.

SINGAPORE, 1 October 2015 – Canon today launched the LV-WX320 and LV-X320, two new additions to the successful LV range of compact portable projectors. Featuring 3,200 lumens of brightness, these Digital Light Processing (DLP) projectors are able to project stunning images with a contrast ratio of up to 10,000:1 in varying lighting conditions. With resolution as high as 1,280 x 800 (for LV-WX320) and 1,024 x 768 (for LV-X320), these compact projectors will suit even larger audiences with crisp image projections for a richer user experience. Presentations in classrooms, smaller meeting rooms, offices, and open-plan areas will be of clarity to everyone present.

“These new compact high resolution projectors are highly cost-effective and versatile for use in a range of scenarios,” said Edwin Teoh, Assistant Director, Consumer Business Marketing, Canon Singapore. “With MHL technology as a connectivity option, a wide range of MHL-enabled smart devices can be directly connected offering users a more immersive experience with media projection onto a bigger screen.’’

High Connectivity with Low Running Costs

Weighing just 2.5kg, these models offer improved connectivity options and are designed to produce exceptionally bright and clear images. Apart from VGA and HDMI inputs ports, both the LV-W320 and LV-X320 are compatible with Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) interface, enabling images to be projected directly from a smartphone or tablet.

The LV-WX320 and LV-X320 have long lamp lifespan of approximately 6,000 hours and a filter-free feature, which eliminates the hassle and cost of replacing an air-filter, keeping the running costs low. A convenient and time-saving quality, the new ‘Direct Power Off’ feature powers off the projectors simply by pulling the power cable off after use. Users may stow away the projector immediately after shut down without the need to cool off.

Engines behind the innovations

Both projectors feature a high-quality engine and DLP ‘BrilliantColor™’ technology. This technology achieves rich colours in projections through the inclusion of a six-segment colour wheel that dramatically boosts the saturation level, rendering richer colour projections. The DLP technology also enables the projection of 3D images with the use of DLP link 3D glasses.

Handy features for smart presentations

The projectors come with an optional timer feature that displays the elapsed time onto the projected image. This timer can be displayed at all times or through intervals and is especially convenient for presentations involving multiple presenters.

The LV-WX320 and LV-X320 are pre-set with four image modes – Presentation, Standard, sRGB, Movie, and two user customisable image modes.

Pricing and availability

The LV-WX320 and LV-X320 are priced at $1,099 and $949 respectively and available at Canon authorised dealers.
