Commenting on the birth of the new EXILIM EX-TR60, Johnny Ng, General Manager, Camera Division, Casio Singapore said: “The EXILIM-TR Series is one of our best-selling compact digital cameras in Singapore. Since the series debuted in 2011, its popularity took off alongside the ‘selfie’ phenomenon worldwide, enabling users to easily snap, personalise and share their ‘selfies’ with friends and family. We listened closely to the feedback from our loyal customers to make small but powerful changes such as incorporating Bluetooth® technology and enabling a Selfie Pad on the rotating frame for the EXILIM EX-TR60 to truly be the ultimate ‘selfie’ camera.”

Bluetooth Smart Technology

In addition to Wi-Fi[1] connectivity, the new EXILIM EX-TR60 is the first of the EXILIM-TR range to incorporate Bluetooth® Smart Technology, enabling faster and more stable connectivity to a smartphone via the EXILIM Connect application[2].

Once connected, ladies can control the camera remotely and even continue to view, select and edit photos on their smartphone when the camera is switched off. Photos can then be shared instantaneously with friends and family through Scene[3], a cloud-based photo album via EXILIM Connect.

Improved Usage with More Intuitive Functions

The EXILIM EX-TR60 features an intuitive Selfie Pad, a sensor positioned within the camera’s 360-degree LCD rotatable frame. Ladies can single-handedly toggle between various functions such as zoom or the new Selfie Art mode, by moving a finger along the frame, without have to view the main menu. This makes it easier to make quick adjustments to the camera’s settings without missing out on that perfect shot.

Innovative Ways to Personalise Each Photo

Casio’s Make Up Technology enables users to adjust their preferred skin smoothness on 12 varying levels and skin tone on six levels from fair to tan. By using a large 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor and a molded glass lens that allows more light to reach the sensor, subtle details such as the subject’s most delicate features are clearly captured, leading to more vibrant images even in low-lighting environments.

The enhanced EXILIM EX-TR60 features a Make Up Bracketing Mode which simultaneously captures three images with varying skin tones. The images captured pivots two levels fairer and two levels tanner around the user’s chosen skin tone setting, giving users a choice while cutting back time in obtaining the perfect self-portrait.

Ladies can play around with the new Selfie Art Mode featuring six artistic effects to personalise their self-portraits. “High Key” results in a natural lighting effect, “Foggy” gives a softer ambience, “Fairy” accentuates feminine facial features, “Nostalgia” evokes a sentimental mood, “Vivid” brightens photos and “Square” which automatically adjusts image ratio to easily share on social media.

Price and Availability

The EXILIM EX-TR60 is made in Japan and available in Singapore in four pastel colours (Green, Pink, Violet and Gold). Limited sets will be available at selected Casio authorised retailers[4] such as Best Denki and Harvey Norman from 27 April 2015 onwards, at a Suggested Retail Price of SGD$1,299.
