WhatsApp is now on Web but not for iOS users

This might be good news for many WhatsApp users out there. WhatsApp is now available on the web officially. You can now response to your chat at the comfort of your computer instead of the mobile phone.

To do that, you will need to access the web version of WhatsApp. Yes, on your browser. Unfortunately, it works only on Google Chrome at the moment.

To access, go to this link.

A few things to note. On the website, you will see a QR code. What you need to do is to scan it using the WhatsApp app on your phone. Unfortunately, on my Andriod WhatsApp build (Version 2.11.498), I could not see this WhatsApp Web feature. From Engadget, seems like HTC phones might have this issue.

And just a reminder, you will need your phone to be online to use this feature. So, I suggest that you put your phone on WiFi before you do this.

Finally, the feature is available for most OSes like Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, Nokia S60. Unfortunately, iOS users will NOT be able to enjoy this feature due to Apple platform limitation (information based WhatsApp blog):

..Unfortunately for now, we will not be able to provide web client to our iOS users due to Apple platform

Do you think this is useful?
