ASUS Launches the New MeMO Pad 8 ME181 and Transformer Pad TF103 in Singapore

New generation MeMO Pad and Transformer Pad Series which feature the latest ASUS ZenUI interface and 64-bit Intel Atom processors

Singapore (4 July, 2014) — ASUS today announced the availability of the next generation ASUS MeMO Pad 8 (ME181) and ASUS Transformer Pad TF103C and. Both models feature the intuitive ASUS ZenUI, a 64-bit Intel® Atom™ quad-core CPU and Android 4.4 Kit Kat operating system. The MeMO Pad 8 (ME181) and Transformer Pad TF103C will be retailing at S$269 and S$399 respectively. Both models are available at all ASUS authorised retailers and ASUS brand stores from today.

The MeMO Pad 8 (ME181) is the latest affordable, industry-leading 8-inch, 64-bit Android tablets featuring the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor and HD 1280 x 800 IPS display. On the other hand, the Transformer Pad TF103 is the latest 10-inch Android tablet with HD 1280 x 800 IPS display and a detachable mobile keyboard dock with a new hidden hinge design which allows users to play and work more efficiently on-the-go. Featuring the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor, the Transformer Pad TF103 is designed to provide on-the-go productivity and entertainment with its 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor.

The new MeMO Pad 8 (ME181) features the advanced 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor that provides powerful, efficient performance for smooth web surfing and fast app loading.

Featuring an 8-inch 1280 x 800 HD IPS display, the MeMO Pad 8 provides highly detailed, crystal-clear images with 170-degree wide viewing angles in both indoor and outdoor conditions. Its 189ppi display resolution ensures HD videos and photos look crisp and vivid, while text looks sharp and artefact-free. Users may also use the built-in ASUS Splendid utility to tweak the display colours to their preference.

The MeMO Pad 8 is also designed with narrow bezels, which make it easier to hold with just one hand. The MeMO Pad 8’s narrow bezels combine with a svelte 8.3mm profile and 320g weight to create a device that is extremely portable and fun to use for prolonged period.

The MeMO Pad 8 is also a portable wireless entertainment hub, as users are able to stream multimedia content to compatible external displays with Miracast support and CSR’s aptX® audio coding for wireless CD-quality audio streaming to optional Bluetooth headsets.

Users can also take excellent images with the 2-megapixel front-facing and 5-megapixel rear-facing cameras. With PixelMaster technology incorporated in the cameras, the MeMO Pad 8 delivers excellent and professional image quality.

ASUS Transformer Pad TF103C

The Transformer Pad is more than just a high performance tablet powered by the latest 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor – it is an extremely capable Android notebook, thanks to its mobile dock that comes with a hidden hinge design. The mobile keyboard dock has ergonomic chiclet keys with 1.9mm of key travel, and includes intuitive one-touch function keys for common tasks like Delete or Screen Grab. Furthermore, the dock also features a USB 3.0 port that adds support for the next generation SuperSpeed storage devices, while its built-in battery also supports up to 9.5 hours. Measuring at just 257.4 x 178.4 x 9.9mm and weighing at a combined weight of only 1.1kg, the Transformer Pad TF103C is perfect for mobile productivity and entertainment on-the-go.

The Transformer Pad TF103C is available in black colour in all ASUS authorised retailers and ASUS brand stores at S$399 (inclusive of the dock). The white model of the Transformer Pad TF103C will be available exclusively at all Best Denki outlets.
