If you are impressed with Magneto in X-Men, this video should inspire you to become one. Well, at least one aspect of Magneto.. to walk on a metal surface like nobody business.
This DIY Magneto shoes is quite bulky. But as a proof of concept, it really works. As soon as the shoes are magnetized, it is able to hold the body weight. And there is a button switch for you to turn off the magnet so that you can put y0ur foot forward. Check out the video.
I think the concept is not new but this guy, Colin, makes it look so fun. Here is how he makes the shoes. BTW, he is also the one that invented the Wolverine Automatic Claws that is really workable.
