Samsung revealed Project Glued in Singapore, a Video-on-Demand Service for Asia

Before yesterday, I did not know anything about Project Glued. Thanks to Samsung for the invite, I am able to hear and see first hand what this secret Project Glued is.

Yesterday, at the opening night of All That Matters week long event, Samsung took the opportunity to announce “Project Glued”. It is a new video-on-demand service that will debut in Q3 of this year.

BTW, Project Glued is still a working name. With Project Glued, fans will be able to watch or download HD quality dramas/TV series from the US and UK. Users will be able to watch them on the go.

Users will be able to watch the 1st episode of every series free. Subsequent content can be rented for 30 days. One of the more interesting thing is that you can send share the content as a “gift” to a friend.

The service is for Samsung devices only. Users can download Project Glued app on Google Play store from Q3. I did not get to see any devices with Project Glued yesterday at the event. Not sure how they curate the programs (although they did say that it was done with the users in mind).

Read more about it in the Press Release.
