Travel in Style with the alpha NEX-5T from Sony

Share your favourite holiday snapshots to win the new  alpha NEX-5T with NFC functionality and added features, perfect for travellers wanting less to carry but still demanding DSLR-like quality images

(SINGAPORE, 30 October 2013) – Sony is inviting those bitten by the travel bug to share their fun travel photos with others, and stand a chance to win the new pocket-sized alpha NEX-5T, the first interchangeable lens E-mount camera from Sony with NFC, making it the ideal accessory for those on holiday and wanting to share their shots instantly on their social networks.

From 30 October 2013 onwards, consumers are welcomed to share their captured memories when abroad on the captureyourtravel.sony-asia.com microsite. Participants can submit their holiday shots to three categories, be it panoramic landscape shots of the sun rising over the horizon or posing with their best friend in the middle of Trafalgar Square are all welcomed. Ten photos will then be shortlisted per category with Sony choosing 3 winners for each category. The Grand prize winners will also receive US$1,000 in travel vouchers from Sony to fund their next dream destination.

Members of the public and friends of the participants are also invited to vote for what they think are the best photos amongst those submitted while also submitting their photo captions in order to win the Action Cam HDR-AS30V.

The 16.1MP alpha NEX-5T has a large-sized APS-C sensor that produces beautifully detailed DSLR-quality images but without the bulky heft. Those going on solo vacations will also appreciate the camera’s 180° LCD screen, which is great for self-shots with an absolutely stunning scenery in the background. Image sharing is more convenient with NFC – with a single tap of your NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet against the camera, images can be shared wirelessly and easily when connected.
