ASUS Livens Up Your Life with PadFone Infinity in Hot Pink and Champagne Gold

The award-winning latest Android smartphone-tablet hybrid refreshes with two new colours

Singapore (16 August, 2013) ASUS, a global leader in the new digital era, today announced the Hot Pink and Champagne Gold versions of the award-winning PadFone™ Infinity, which has redefined the smartphone experience with its unique two-in-one feature and powerful performance. Starting from 17 August, the three colours – Titanium Gray, Hot Pink and Champagne Gold – will be available at StarHub, M1 and ASUS authorised retailers* at S$898 and S$998 for the 32GB and 64GB models respectively. Both prices are exclusive of the tablet station, which is retailing at S$368.

Award-winning innovation

Officially unveiled in Singapore in May earlier this year, the PadFone Infinity has received numerous rave reviews for its responsive performance and top-notch product quality. The predecessors – ASUS PadFone and PadFone 2, have set a solid foundation for ASUS smartphones in 2012, bagging critically acclaimed awards including the CES 2012 Best of Innovations award, a Best Choice Gold award at Computex 2012, Good Design Award 2012 and iF Design Award 2013. The PadFone Infinity has continued this trend and has won a Red Dot Design Award and the Computex d&i Award in 2013.

A 5-inch full HD display that instantaneously becomes a 10.1-inch tablet when docked into the station, the PadFone Infinity features Android 4.1 and next-generation Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 processor with quad-core CPU.

As a leader in the Android tablet market with the innovative Transformer Pad and Fonepad Series of hybrid mobile devices, the same “Design Thinking” philosophy is also applied to the ASUS smartphones series. The PadFone Infinity follows the same award-winning concept that continues to tear up the smartphone design rulebook with its innovative 2-in-1 form factor, with the Infinity applying significant improvements that include updates to the display and performance in both phone and pad to deliver a class-leading device.

“The PadFone Infinity is the latest evolution of our PadFone line. It is ASUS’ most beautiful and ambitious phone yet, and we are very proud of it,” said Jonney Shih, ASUS Chairman. “The PadFone Infinity embodies everything that ASUS is all about – Relentless pursuit for perfection in our innovative products.”

Irresistible object of desire

Sporting a slender unibody design crafted from aerospace-grade aluminium with a brushed metal finish and diamond cut edge, the PadFone Infinity looks premium and beautiful from every angle. Its design incorporates gentle curves to fit in the hand better, while slightly exposing the lines in the brushed finish to provide a better grip. It is highly durable too, as its unibody frame is twice-anodised to provide resistance to corrosion and damage.

Featuring a 1,920 x 1,080 full HD resolution with an ultra-sharp IPS display of 441 pixels per inch, reading and watching videos on the phone are never an issue with the wonderfully detailed high resolution images. Up to 64GB of storage complements the class-leading Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 1.7GHz processor with quad-core CPU for a smooth and responsive premium Android experience, while 100Mbit/s LTE and 42Mbit/s DC-HSPA+ ensure super-fast web browsing and downloads.

The PadFone Infinity has up to 19 hours of 3G talk time, which increases up to 40 hours when docked into the station. The PadFone Infinity Station also has sufficient battery capacity to fully recharge the docked PadFone Infinity up to three times.

High performance camera

The PadFone Infinity features a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 five-element lens that captures incredibly detailed images, with no shutter lag. A dedicated image signal-processor enhances low-light image quality and enables the PadFone Infinity to capture up to 100 sequential photos at eight frames-per-second, while simultaneously recording 1080p full HD video. The PadFone Infinity can also output 1080p full HD video via its micro-USB-compatible MyDP port. Besides, there is a range of shutter activation modes available, including a new voice activated shutter, which allows users to take pictures using voice command.

Redefine your audio experience

Co-developed with Bang & Olufsen, the ASUS SonicMaster audio technology is featured in the PadFone Infinity. With bass chambers and 32% larger speakers than other leading smartphones to produce wide, dynamic range and impressive volume, the PadFone Infinity creates a surreal, surround audio impact that improves the overall user entertainment experience. Coupled with the AudioWizard app, users can further optimize the sound by tweaking to one of the five different preset scenarios – Movie, Music, Gaming, Record or Speech.

Share apps and mobile data instantly on-the-go

The unique two-in-one nature of the PadFone Infinity removes the tedious need to synchronise data between smartphone and tablet. Data and settings on the PadFone Infinity are available instantly on the station upon docking, and running apps are smoothly reformatted to fit the larger display. Mobile data bills are also reduced, since a single data plan can be shared between both devices.

The PadFone Infinity also comes with new and exclusive ASUS apps, including SuperNote 3.1 for note taking, ASUS Story for creating stunning photo albums and ASUS Echo for voice control of the PadFone Infinity.

Dress up your PadFone Infinity

Available from 17 August, both the side flip covers and station transleeve for PadFone Infinity and PadFone Infinity Station will be available in both Hot Pink and Titanium Gray colours. Both items will retail at S$68 and S$88 respectively at all main StarHub shops.

Availability and pricing

Starting 17 August, the PadFone Infinity now comes in three colours and will be available at StarHub, M1 and ASUS authorised retailers.*
