Samsung Expands Popular ATIV Line of Ultra-slim PCs, Tablets and All-in-Ones
Latest line-up includes the ATIV Book 9 Plus, ATIV Book 9 Lite,
ATIV Tab 3 and ATIV One 5 Style
Singapore, 1 August 2013 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a global leader in digital media and convergence technologies, today unveiled four new Windows 8 devices as part of the expanded ATIV range: ATIV Book 9 Plus and ATIV Book 9 Lite notebooks, ATIV Tab 3 tablet and ATIV One 5 Style all-in-one desktop PC. The new line-up continues to deliver on the promise of ATIV by extending the mobile experience across mobile phone and PC environments for a seamless work and life balance.
The ATIV line’s unique combination of stylish design, cutting-edge technology and seamless convergence capabilities redefine personal computing. It offers consumers the choice they need to stay connected, productive and entertained regardless of location, environment or computing needs. The new ATIV line-up also represents Samsung’s commitment to converging the PC and mobile experiences through the inclusion of the recently introduced SideSync technology, which allows for easy sharing between the PC and an AndroidTM-based Samsung smartphone or tablet powered by AndroidTM Jelly Bean 4.2 and above.
Samsung is also debuting a new feature called HomeSync Lite, which transforms the PC’s hard drive into a personal cloud server. HomeSync Lite allows users to back-up their personal files, photos and videos from portable devices to PCs and access them remotely via a mobile device anytime, anywhere.
ATIV Book 9 Plus
The ATIV Book 9 Plus is the next generation of a proven favourite, the ATIV Book 9, which is renowned for its ultra thin and light form factor and award-winning design. Thanks to 33,000 hours of craftsmanship, the ATIV Book 9 Plus takes this premium PC to the next level. The aluminium, uni-body design features several enhancements from the previous model, including a Windows 8 optimized touchscreen to give users a choice of inputs and a panel that flips 180 degrees so that users can change or share their perspective easily.
Boasting a QHD＋ (3200 X 1800) featuring 300nit brightness, the ATIV Book 9 Plus offers the ultimate viewing experience while 11 hours of battery life allows users to stay productive during cross-continental flights on a single charge. The Book 9 Plus boots from cold in less than six seconds and wakes up from sleep in under one second, allowing users to access the information and programs they need nearly instantly. Productivity is further enhanced by Samsung’s SideSync technology, which makes it easy to share content between the Book 9 Plus and an AndroidTM-based Samsung smartphone or tablet.

ATIV Book 9 Lite
The ATIV Book 9 Lite offers the same premium design identity as the Book 9 Plus and features a Quad Core Processor and a 128GB SSD. This allows the Book 9 Lite to boot from cold in less than seven seconds and wake up from sleep in less than one second. Offering premium features at value, the Book 9 Lite weighs from 1.44 kg and is less than an inch thick, making it an ideal choice for mobile consumers and business travellers alike. Users can interact between a PC and an AndroidTM-based Samsung smartphone or tablet easily as the Book 9 Lite also supports Samsung SideSync technology.
The ATIV Book 9 Lite will be available in marble white from 1 August 2013 at $1,199. The ATIV Book 9 Lite Touch will be available in mineral ash black from Q3 2013 and product pricing will be available at a later date.

ATIV Tab 3
A tablet with the power of a PC, the ATIV Tab 3 makes personal computing more mobile than ever. The ATIV Tab 3 is the world’s thinnest Windows 8 tablet – as thin as popular smartphones – and shares the premium design of the GALAXY series. It is ideal for both creativity and productivity with improved S Pen functionality, including high level pen display and S Pen compatibility with Microsoft Office.
A perfect device for on-the-go users, the frame of the ATIV Tab 3 is incredibly thin and light at only 8mm thick and 550g in weight, making it a perfect companion device for travel as well as transporting between work and home. As the first all-in-one launched since the expansion of the ATIV brand, the One 5 Style represents ultimate convenience in computing at home. It features Samsung SideSync technology, which enables users to effortlessly share content between the PC and an AndroidTM-based Samsung smartphone or tablet. The addition of HomeSync Lite adds even more convenience by making it easy to back-up, manage and access content on a smartphone or tablet.
