OpenNet’s contractor temporarily halts fibre installation and repair work to protect workers from the effects of worsening air quality

Singapore, 21 June 2013 – OpenNet’s Key Sub-contractor has temporarily suspended all fibre installation and repair work with immediate effect to safeguard the health of its authorized contractor’s workers as the haze situation worsens in Singapore. The current stop work order is applicable till further notice.

OpenNet apologizes for any inconvenience this action may have on any of its subscribers whose installation appointments are impacted by this precaution. All affected installations will be rescheduled.

The situation will be reassessed regularly to determine appropriate safety measures to ensure workers are offered some relief from the smog upon resumption of work.

Premise owners can refer to www.opennet.com.sg for updates on the situation.
