Huawei launches its latest Huawei Ascend P6 during the CommunicAsia 2013 in Singapore. I had the chance to have the first hands-on on this super thin (6.18mm) device. And thanks to Huawei, I managed to get some time with the pink version of P6. In my opinion, it is one of the prettiest pink I have seen.
First impression of this device is the thinness of it. At 6.18mm, it is the thinnest phone around. Here is the back view.
It looks like a slim version of the iPhone 5 from the side.
Notice the little round shape thing on the edge? It is the cover for the earphone jack.
Here is how it looks when taken out.
It has two functions. One is to keep the dust away from the earpiece jack and the other function is to use it to remove the Micro SIM or Micro SD card from their slots.
Here is the other side view.
Here is how it looks when the slots are being taken out.

Are you ready for the PINK version? I like this pink. it is very subtle. I had some difficult time to capture the color.
Here are some features of the Huawei Ascend P6.
Overall, I think Huawei scored high points for the design. However, if you dig into the specs, you will realize that it is a little underwhelming.
For example, this 4.7-inch device do not have LTE (However, Ascend P2 has advance LTE that can reach 150Mbps) and the screen is not Full HD. It is using Bluetooth 3.0 (when most will go for low power Bluetooth 4.0).
However, having said that, I think Huawei scores another high for putting a 5 MPX camera on the front facing camera. It is now one of the few phones that has the highest Front Facing Camera resolution.
