Nuffnang introduces blog sharing app, imotiv (video)

Nuffnang introduces a new app, imotiv. Based on my understanding, imotiv app is made after the Nuffnang founders found out that many people do not consume blog posts on mobile. This app is supposed to fill the gap.

Here is a video on imotiv app.

Here are the features of this app.

READ AND SHARE
Our special technology pulls the most Imotiv or most emotionally charged line from stories and displays this on your feed, letting you quickly see what’s interesting. Facebook integration also means you can easily share stories you like with friends.

EXPLORE
Our new Explore panel shows you what stories your Facebook and Twitter friends are reading so you’ll always be in the loop. Imotiv will also recommend blogs based on what you have recently read.

EXPRESS
Imotiv lets you express your thoughts and share ideas with other bloggers via our conversations feature. Commenting and replying to comments has never been easier!
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more updates as we continue to improve the blog discovery and reading process! In the meantime, enjoy!

The app is professionally made and one of the features is LIST. You can actually curate your list so that only those that matters to you will show up (this will be handy if you happens to follow many blogs in different category). If you do not know who to follow, you can go to EXPLORE to search for things you like. There is a backend algorithm that will crawl the site to list out the best lines to describe the blog post. Of course, since it is in the infancy phase, I am sure things will get better.

Many will think that Flipboard can also do that beautifully. But imotiv allows you to follow blogs, made comments. In short, it has the social aspects that most people like nowadays.

It is too early to say if this app is going to be a big hit. I intend to use it and feedback. You can click here to follow TechieLobang on imotive. If you have a blog, you will need to do a short process to claim your blog.

BTW, this imotiv is previously known as NuffnangX.

If you would like to know more, Tech in Asia actually interviewed one of the founders (Timothy Tiah) on the app and their approach.
