Singapore, March 21, 2013 – Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today launched the region’s first Enterprise Experience Centre in Singapore to showcase its enterprise capabilities and demonstrate solutions across verticals including education, retail, hospitality and financial services. In addition to the launch, Samsung also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) to establish a Digital Convergence & Mobility Innovation Centre to develop and showcase advanced technologies and solutions in collaborative learning, retail solution innovation and smart device application development.

Launch of Southeast Asia’s first Enterprise Experience Centre

The Samsung Enterprise Experience Centre, spanning approximately 2,000 square feet, is a one-stop destination to showcase Samsung’s capabilities and approach to enterprise solutions for customers. Some of the solutions showcased include tablets, monitors, PCs and commercial displays for the hospitality, travel, education and retail industries.

Partnership with Nanyang Polytechnic

As part of Samsung’s focus and commitment to the industry, an MOU with NYP was also signed at the launch. The Digital Convergence & Mobility Innovation Centre will enable students to research into collaborative learning and conceptualise a learning space where digital technologies could be integrated to enhance effectiveness of teaching and learning. Students will also develop and explore different innovative ways to enhance retail solutions to improve customers’ experience and business outcomes. They will also have the opportunity to develop real-life application on smart devices, including Smart TVs and tablets, through trainings, workshops, seminars and industry attachments at Samsung.

“Nanyang Polytechnic is excited to collaborate with Samsung in setting up the Digital Convergence & Mobility Innovation Centre which will enrich our students’ learning experience.
