Finally, Microsoft announces the availability of the Microsoft Surface Pro. It will be available from the 9th of February 2013 starting from US$899. I am not sure which market will be able to get hold of this device.
For the uninitiated, the biggest difference between Surface RT and Surface Pro is that Surface Pro is running on a full Windows 8 Pro version while the former is running on Windows RT. With Windows 8 Pro, the Surface Pro is able to run legacy software that is on Windows 7. This is really what sets apart other tablets like iPad or Android tablets.

I hope that if Microsoft is thinking to build a 2nd gen for this product, please include cellular support (preferably with LTE) and a better rear camera. Super disappointed that it does not even come with any SIM card slot (but plus point is the extra USB port on the charger which was not mentioned before). And if they want the sales to increase, they should open up to more markets.
