Check out this R2D2 that this Chinese guy built for his girlfriend. It consists of a toy R2D2 and a bunch of parts. It is powered by a Raspberry Pi running Rasbian.
Watch how he command the R2D2 in Mandarin and then switching to English command to move the robot. All of these actions are done by just talking to the robot. Of course, from what I see at this moment, the R2D2 has limited usage like recording some audio clips but I guess people can see the potential of it with more enhancements. What do you think?
