Fujitsu introduces new touch tablets and convertible tablet PC LIFEBOOK in Singapore. One of the more interesting ones is the STYLISTIC QH582 touch tablet. It is just 9.9mm thin and has water-resistant (IPX5/7/81) and dust-resistant (IP5X2) rating.

Fujitsu Announces New Lineup of Windows 8 Consumer PCs and Tablet Devices that Enable Touch Functionality for Every Workplace
Singapore, December 11, 2012 – Fujitsu has today launched the Made-in-Japan STYLISTIC QH582 as a new addition to its latest suite of enterprise devices for Windows 8 in the Asia Pacific region. With the external connection terminal cap tightly closed, IPX5, IPX7, and IPX8 water resistance features protect the tablet from water damage. The IPX5 designation indicates that the tablet can normally function after being sprayed with water from a nozzle with a diameter of 6.3 mm at a rate of 12.5 liters per minute from a distance of approximately 3 m for a period of at least 3 minutes. The IPX7 rating indicates that water will not penetrate inside the tablet and it will function normally after being gently immersed in a tank of room-temperature tap or still water of a depth of 1 m for approximately 30 minutes. The IPX8 designation indicates that the tablet functions normally after being immersed in room-temperature tap water to a depth of 1.5 m for 30 minutes.

With the external connection terminal cap tightly closed, the IP5X dust-resistance feature protects the tablet from dust damage. IP5X indicates that the tablet can be left in an environment with dust particles with a diameter of 75 μm or less for 8 hours and continue to function and be used safely.

10hrs 30min (Video Playback) battery life is based on Intel® Atom™ Z2760 Processor with standard 36Wh battery under mute setting. Actual battery life will vary based on screen brightness, sound volume settings, running applications, connected peripherals, power management settings, battery conditioning, and other customer preferences in real life situations.
