HP Announces ElitePad 900 Windows 8 Tablet (Video)

Today, HP announces the ElitePad 900, a Windows 8 tablet that is targeted at business users. It will be available in US from January 2013 but there is no news yet for Singapore.

Running on the latest Atom processor (aka Clover Trail), it has a 10.1-inch screen (Aspect Ration 16:10), weighs 1.5 pounds (680 grams) and is 9.2mm thick. It has an micro-SD card slot, optional 3G data. It has the standard WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0. Internal storage is up to 64GB with a 2GB RAM. The best part is that it has a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1080p face-facing camera.

It does not have any USB port on it. However, you can add accessories to it to make it more “useful”. I like the “Smart Jackets”.

The above is a smart jacket that adds more port to tablet. Of course, it adds on more weight but it has a thin slice of battery that is supposed to prolong the battery life by a few hours.

Here is other accessories to configure the HP ElitePad 900.

It has other accessories too. One of them is the stylus pen.
