StarHub expands the number of channels for their TV Anywhere line up. To allow viewers the chance to experience the expanded range of content on the service, a free preview of starhubtv.com will be held from 8 September, 12 noon to 7 October, 12 noon.

StarHub Expands TV Anywhere Line-up to 23 Channels
-Month-long free preview of starhubtv.com from 8 September-

Singapore, 7 September 2012 – StarHub TV will be launching seven new channels on TV Anywhere next Friday (14 September), bringing the number of channels on the value-added service to 23 channels. To allow viewers the chance to experience the expanded range of content on the service, a free preview of starhubtv.com will be held from 8 September, 12 noon to 7 October, 12 noon.[1]
Starting next Friday, seven new channels spanning genres from sports to education to Cantonese entertainment will be added to TV Anywhere. The channels are SuperSports (StarHub TV Ch 202), Racquet Channel (StarHub TV Ch 211), Football Channel (StarHub TV Ch 222), Discovery Channel (StarHub TV Ch 422), Animal Planet (StarHub TV Ch 424), TLC (StarHub TV Ch 427) and TVBJ (StarHub TV Ch 838).
“When we launched TV Anywhere just three months ago, we made a promise that we would work to have more content rights cleared for delivery over the Internet as soon as possible,” said Ms Iris Wee, Vice President of Home Solutions & Content, StarHub. “Today we have delivered with seven quality channels. This marks a significant step in our vision to deliver captivating content to our customers on any device, at anytime, anywhere. StarHub TV customers will be pleased to know that they can look forward to even more pedigree content on the service by the end of the year.”
Highlights in September include ‘live’ coverage of sporting events such as selected World Cup 2014 qualifiers on SuperSports; Bundesliga and Portuguese Primeira Liga football on Football Channel; and the US Open on Racquet Channel.
Discovery Networks fans should look out for programmes such as One Car Too Far and Bering Sea Gold on Discovery Channel; Go Asia With Anita Kapoor on TLC; and My Cat From Hell on Animal Planet.
Finally, TVB fans will be treated to ‘live’ event broadcasts of Gala Spectacular 2012 (星光熠熠耀保良), a ‘live’ fund-raising gala featuring performances from TVB artistes and A Mid-Autumn Show In Shatin 2012 (沙田月滿樂安居) on TVBJ.
StarHub TV customers can access their desired channels on any Internet-enabled PC, Mac or selected mobiles devices via starhubtv.com. During the month-long free preview of TV Anywhere, StarHub TV customers will be able to access all the channels on starhubtv.com. Once the free preview closes, viewer access to the channels on starhubtv.com will correspond with their StarHub TV subscription plan.
TV Anywhere is open to StarHub TV customers only. Users need to login to www.starhubtv.com using a Hub ID that is linked to their existing StarHub TV account. The service is available free of charge until 31 December 2013.
