Microsoft is going to price the Windows Surface that runs on Windows RT at USD199? If the source is correct, it will really create a huge interest to try out the tablet with that price.

According to an inside source, a session was held at Microsoft’s recent TechReady15 conference in which all the launch details were laid out. If things go according to the plan detailed then, the Surface for Windows RT tablet will be launching October 26th — no surprise there — at a compelling price of $199.
I really hope that this news is accurate. However, I do understand that if Microsoft is going to rely on its partners to spread the Windows RT market share, it might have to consider the pricing again.
My suggestion. Limit a period where consumers can get this tablet or let this price be the pre-order price to get the tablet. The world has not really seen how the tablet will perform. The “reward” in terms of the low pricing is for those who dare to try 🙂 . Anyway, I hope 26th of October comes fast so that the world can feel the “power” of Microsoft Surface.
