Lenovo Brings a New Multimedia and Touch Experience to Home Computing
- IdeaCentre A720 All-in-One: 10-point multi-touch experience brings home computing to the next level
- IdeaPad Y480 laptop: High-performance entertainment for digital fun seekers
Singapore – April 26, 2012: Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today launched their latest line-up of PCs – the industry’s slimmest 27-inch IdeaCentre A720 All-in-One (AIO); and the mobile multimedia powerhouse, the IdeaPad Y480 – both equipped with the quad-core 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ processors and coupled with Lenovo Enhanced Experience 3 (EE 3) for Windows 7.
No bending over backwards, the IdeaCentre A720 does it all for you
As the industry’s slimmest 27-inch AIO, the IdeaCentre A720 sports a sleek metal exterior and is a mere 24.5mm, thinner than a typical club sandwich. Its frameless display screen supports 10-point multi-touch. The improved AIO design is engineered to optimize the touch experience in the ‘digital’ home by allowing a widely adjustable hinge screen to be pulled towards the user at an angle of -5o and folded back to an angle of up to 90o. This foldable screen makes touch applications more comfortable to use and maneuver especially over longer periods of time.
Offering extraordinary graphics performance powered by NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics, the desktop comes with up to 1TB HDD and 64 GB SSD storage. The A720 support multi-user scenarios with greater accuracy over its touch experience while delivering an impressive home multimedia experience on a frameless high definition 16:9 widescreen. Integrated with entertainment features, such as room-shaking Dolby Home Theatre V4 audio, Lenovo High-Sense (720p HD) Webcam, and Lenovo IdeaTouch (a suite of touch-optimized applications and games), the A720 is an ultra stylish and fun addition to the modern home’s entertainment centre.
The Ultimate Entertainment Experience with IdeaPad Y480
For a high-performance laptop capable of handling intensive multimedia applications, look no further than the IdeaPad Y480. The laptop comes with a refreshed look in Steel Gray and features a large one-piece touchpad for computing comfort.
The Y480 features the NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX660M 2GB GDDR5 graphics, which offers a full HD display that is able to satisfy the highest level of graphics and processing performance, for intensive multimedia and gaming. Entertainment abounds with its Dolby Home Theatre V4 enhanced audio, JBL® designed speakers and OneKey™ Theater II for one-touch audio-visual optimization, providing clearer, brighter images and richer audio. This mobile marvel also supports a back-lit keyboard and HD camera with night view for continued fun in the dark.
Enhanced Experience 3.0
Both products include the Lenovo Enhanced Experience 3 (EE3) for Windows 7, and can be easily identified by the Lenovo Enhanced Experience 3 for Windows 7 certification sticker affixed to them.
EE3 certified products feature supreme Windowsstart-up performance and other optimization features. These products, with their traditional spinning disk hard drive (HDD), can start on average 40 percent faster than typical Windows7 PC users, thanks to Lenovo’s RapidBoot technology. RapidBoot uses optimized processes and hardware settings to allow Lenovo PCs to boot up faster.
EE3 certified Lenovo PCs boot up in 24 seconds on average, while the typical Windows 7PC trails with an average time of 41 seconds.
