Well, there is NO official Press Release yet. Nevertheless, Huawei has shown the world they are serious about the Smartphone business (this is inline with my talk with Huawei representatives during the launch of Huawei Honor in Singapore).
Today, they unveiled the super thin Ascend P1 S and also a slightly thicker (1 mm difference) P1. No official specs yet. Here are some tidbits: –
Ascend P1 S
- 4.3-inch, 540 x 960 Super AMOLED screen
- Dual-core 1.5 GHz CPU paired with a SGX 540 GPU
- 8-megapixel camera and 1 GB of RAM.
- Battery: 1670 mAh
- Thickness: 6.68mm
- OS: Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0)
- Availability: Q2 2012
As for Ascend P1, it was mentioned that it has the same internal with a bigger battery (1800mAh) at the expense of 1 mm of thickness (7.69mm)
Hopefully, we hear more from Huawei.
