Singapore, 13 December 2011 – Concert buffs will soon have a convenient and extremely affordable way to catch their favourite acts! On 15 December, three new channels – iConcerts, iConcerts HD and iConcerts On Demand, will make their debuts on StarHub TV and form a new bundle – the iConcerts Pack.

With over 200 concerts and music programmes lined up every month, iConcerts (StarHub TV Channel 538) will feature one of the world’s largest libraries of music concerts and programmes. iConcerts’ extensive catalogue ranges from best-selling stars such as Katy Perry and Beyoncé, to popular groups including My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park, to legendary performers like Eric Clapton and Bob Marley.

iConcerts HD (StarHub TV Channel 583) is a mirror service of iConcerts, where viewers can catch all content in the splendour of high definition. To provide customers with more flexibility in their viewing schedules, iConcerts On Demand (StarHub TV Channel 539) will carry 50 concert titles pulled from the iConcerts library, with up to half of the titles refreshed each month.

“A sizeable group of consumers in Singapore are avid concert goers and music fans. Is our launch of the iConcerts channels aimed at replacing attending concerts? Certainly not. I see it as a supplement and complement. What we are offering is a convenient and affordable way to catch the top acts without paying hefty prices or travelling all over the world to do so. With 50 or more concerts a month, viewers can have their fill of today’s top acts as well as all-day access to performances by legendary stars,” said Ms. Iris Wee, StarHub’s Vice President of Home Solutions & Content.

StarHub TV customers can add on iConcerts Pack for a monthly subscription of $8.56 (including GST) to enjoy non-stop music entertainment 24 hours a day. To give customers a chance to sample the new channels, StarHub is offering all its TV customers two weeks of free viewing of iConcerts and iConcerts HD, from 15 December (10am) to 29 December (11:59pm). During this free viewing period, they can enjoy Fall Out Boy: Folie à Deux NYC to LA (19 December, 8:50pm), Kylie Minogue: Aphrodite Les Folies (24 December, 9pm), Nat King Cole: When I Fall In Love (25 December, 2:55pm) and Mariah Carey: The Adventures of Mimi (27 December, 3:55pm).
