There is no need to go through layers of menus or operate switches or dials to switch to and from video recording mode. Shoot with Ease
Taking good photos is made easy with the 32-Smart Auto Scene detection options. The new PowerShot SX 150 IS is able to detect 32 different scenes such as Sunset, Clear Skies, and Backlit to optimize the camera settings for best results.
Camera-shake is also minimized with the built-in Intelligent IS (Image Stabilizer), which applies different modes of image stabilization to different shooting situations. Furthermore, users can further enhance their images in-camera using any of the eight Creative Filters which changes the effect of the original captured images. Creative filters adding to fun photography include Toy Camera, Monochrome, Miniature, Fish-eye, Super Vivid, Poster, Color Swap and Color Accent.
New Photo Book function
The new Photo Book function allows users to pre-select their favorite shots in-camera to facilitate the easy creation of photo books. Users can select and save images into a dedicated folder in the camera, and have these images printed into photo books or uploaded onto the internet as online photo books.
New Optional High Power Flash HF-DC2
Complementing the PowerShot SX150 IS is the optional high power flash HF-DC2, a slim and portable slave flash with enhanced sync performance and a wider flash coverage of up to 24mm (with attached wide panel). With three levels of flash intensity, it is capable of delivering desired lighting conditions under a variety of lighting situations. As a portable slave flash, it can also be used with other Canon PowerShot and IXUS-series cameras without a hotshoe attachment.
