Panasonic Evolta Robot to Complete Ironman Triathlon in a Week (Video)

Triathlon is already a gruesome task for most human. Ironman Triathlon is even worst. Now, Panasonic is going to send Evolta the robot to complete this Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii on 23rd October 2011.

With just 3 rechargeable batteries, it is going to swim 3.8 km in the open sea, ride a bike for 180.2km and run another 42.2 km to complete this task. 3 robots will be taking part in this race. Each armed with special attachment for their tasks.

Here is a video of what to expect and the thoughts of one of its developers, Tomotaka Takahashi.

I love this Evolta robot. Panasonic should make one to sell to the consumers. This is its fourth challenge. From my understanding, Panasonic is also promoting the batteries used in this challenge. It has a charging cycle of 1,200 times.
