SingTel Crowns Winning Team of 24-Hour Simulator Challenge
Singapore, 24 July, 2011 – After a whirlwind 24 hours, the winning team of the 24-Hour Simulator Challenge was crowned at the SingTel F1™ road show this afternoon. The winning team had an average lap time of 01:49:537 in the final race.
The challenge saw 150 contestants battle it out on the state of the art simulator machines. In line with this year’s theme ‘Fast is Amazing’, each member of the champion team won a pair of Formula One™ Bay Grandstand Tickets to the 2011 Formula 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix worth S$598, and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to pit their skills against a Formula One™ driver on the SingTel race car simulator.
They also earned a place in the Singapore Book of Records for the wonderful achievement. The top 40 fastest speed record holders will receive an original Singapore Race miniature replica trophy.
